what are the co-op's general audition requirements?

The Actors Co-op typically requires a recent headshot, up-to-date artist resume and one monologue of no more than 2 minutes in length. This monologue should be from a published play. The Actors Co-op also requires that you call ahead to reserve your audition time and remain flexible in the event you are asked to return for Callbacks.

are you the actors co-op or the black box theatre?

Both, actually. The resident acting company is called the Actors Co-op (no apostrophe) and the place where we perform is The Black Box Theatre.

i don't wanna act, but i wanna be involved

Fantastic! We're always looking for folks to lend a hand in our box office during the shows or at our load-ins when we're building the sets. If you scratch our back, we'll scratch yours with some free tickets to a show!

i came by the black box today to make a big, fat donation to the actors co-op and there wasn't anyone there. what gives?

We here at the Actors Co-op keep our offices separate from the theatre (if you've been inside the Black Box, you'll know why. Hello, tiny!) If you need to see us in person during the day, give us a ring or shoot us an email. We're glad to meet you at the Black Box at an arranged time!
